Job Description of Merchandising Planner:

In charge of upholding standards related to receiving and displaying products, ensuring that team members are productive and cooperative while executing their responsibilities. Focuses on delivering a top-tier customer service experience through meaningful interactions with all clients, and by sustaining a tidy and structured store environment. - Cultivates a favorable customer service environment for all stakeholders
- Fosters an environment where honesty and ethical behavior are valued, all the while respecting secrecy
- Manages truck deliveries, with a focus on expediting the handling of products for display in the store
- Provides instruction and support to associates regarding established principles of merchandising and processing
- Verifies that products have appropriate tags, hangers, security measures, and identification codes
- Coordinates with the on-call coordinator to facilitate the effective movement of merchandise onto the sales floor
- Makes sure that associates fulfill responsibilities and tasks according to the store's blueprint, reorganizing priorities when necessary
- Monitors and evaluates the performance of the team while providing necessary guidance
- Arranges and rotates surplus items to facilitate convenient restocking
- Upholds the store's merchandising philosophy and standards for signage
- Maintains the standards for organization, cleanliness, and recovery in the backroom area
- Ensures adherence to recycling regulations and, where necessary, hazardous waste protocols
- Ensures precise and productive interaction with supervisors and colleagues during the process of determining and dealing with priorities, including sharing regular updates on advancements
- Provides and welcomes acknowledgment and valuable critique
- Works alongside management to identify and cater to the training needs of associates for improved effectiveness
- Makes sure that all labor laws, policies, and protocols are followed diligently
- Advocates for the promotion of credit and loyalty schemes
- Supports and takes part in efforts aimed at decreasing store shrinkage as per established goals and strategies
- Advocates for safety consciousness and ensures a protected setting

Qualification of Merchandising Planner:
- Pliable work hours, with the ability to work nights and weekends as necessary
- Excellent communication and organizational talents with a keen eye for details
- Capable of multi-tasking
- Possessing the ability to adapt effectively to alterations in direction or surprising events
- Demonstrating strong teamwork skills when interacting with peers and superiors
- Possessing the ability to handle heavy objects with or without additional support
- Capable of instructing others
- Experience of 12 months in a retail setting and half a year in a leadership position
