Job Description of In-Store Cashier:

A In-Store Cashier is responsible for processing customer purchases, handling payments, and providing excellent customer service in a retail environment.Responsible for delivering a highly satisfied customer experience proven by engaging and interacting with all customers, embodying customer experience principles and philosophy, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment. Adheres to all operational, merchandise, and loss prevention standards. May be cross-trained to work in multiple areas of the store in order to support the needs of the business.

• Through their actions, role models have showcased exemplary customer experience practices for diverse customer groups
• Cultivates a positive store ethos by prioritizing honesty, integrity, and respect in all interactions
• Rings up customer purchases and returns according to operating procedures, ensuring accuracy in recording transactions and providing precise change back to the customer
• Fosters the development of credit and loyalty initiatives
• Adheres to the merchandising philosophy through compliance with established procedures and standards
• Expertly arranges and prepares products for retail showcasing, in line with established company protocols and expectations
• - Contributes to store recovery efforts as necessary throughout the day
• Works to maintain organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards on the sales floor and plays a part in keeping the entire store well-maintained
• Provides and accepts acknowledgment and beneficial commentary
• Observes and upholds labor laws, policies, and procedures
• Participates in and supports store shrink reduction goals and initiatives
• Acts as a safety ambassador and upholds a secure backdrop
• Additional obligations may be assigned by superiors

Quaification of In-Store Cashier:

• Possesses excellent customer service skills
• Able to work a flexible schedule to support business needs
• Possesses strong communication and organizational skills with attention to detail
• Capable of multi-tasking
• Able to respond appropriately to changes in direction or unexpected situations
• Capable of lifting heavy objects with or without reasonable accommodation
• Works effectively with peers and supervisors
• Retail customer experience preferred
