Unloading Operator

Objective: Effectively maneuver assigned powered industrial trucks (PIT) such as forklifts and stand-up order pickers within the distribution center to transfer goods securely. Maintain precision in handling orders being moved in and out of the facility.

Responsibilities of Unloading Operator:

• Accuracy and efficiency in product handling using powered machinery are crucial when following the supervisor's instructions for picking and storing items
• Make the most of computerized warehouse management systems (WMS) and RF scanners to efficiently handle the processing of barcoded items
• Acknowledge and transmit any deviations to the management team
• Strictly follow the standard operational directives (SODs)
• Accurately log production outputs based on tasks and complete any paperwork as needed
• Availability to work extra hours whenever necessary
• Adaptability to be educated and engaged in various realms of work
• Keep the work environment safe and orderly through proper maintenance
• Additional duties as specified

These qualities refer to the comprehension, proficiency, and potential an individual exhibits:

• Obtaining an adidas certification enables individuals to operate assigned powered equipment, including order pickers, turret trucks, reach trucks, powered pallet jacks, and sit-down forklifts, in a safe and efficient manner
• Basic math skills
• Good communication skills
• A prerequisite for the role is proficiency in English language communication, reading, writing, and comprehension

Essential Functions of Unloading Operator:

Frequently needed to verbally communicate or listen attentively; maintain a seated, standing, or mobile posture; use fingers, hands, arms, and feet for tactile exploration, manipulation, gripping, seizing, lifting, operating, pushing, and pulling throughout a twelve-hour period

• Adept at completing tasks at heights of forty (40) feet or more in a safe manner
• experienced in working effectively in a warehouse with varying temperature conditions
• Demonstrating the reliability to attend work as per the set schedule
• Adequate training is required to ensure the safe handling of power industrial equipment
• occasionally required to sit; bending, twisting, climb or balance; lift and carry items such as boxes weighing up to fifty (50) pounds; and stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl

Qualifications of Unloading Operator:

• The completion of high school coursework or its comparable credential is a crucial step towards educational advancement
• Prior forklift operation experience of at least six months is necessary
• Essential to have proficiency in verbal interaction, reading comprehension, written communication, and language understanding in English
