Job Description of Retail Merchandising Associate:

Responsible for upholding receiving and merchandising protocols, overseeing efficient work processes of Associates, and fostering teamwork. Ensures optimal customer satisfaction through active engagement with all patrons and upholding store cleanliness and organization. Demonstrates exemplary customer service behaviors.

• Establishing a favorable encounter for both internal and external clients is essential
• Encourages a environment that values truthfulness and ethical behavior, ensures private information is kept secure
• Coordinates the delivery of trucks, giving importance to efficiently sorting and moving products onto the retail floor
• Provides guidance and instruction to Associates regarding established principles of merchandising and processing
• Verifies that items are correctly labeled, hung, fastened, and marked with appropriate codes
• Collaborates with the on-duty coordinator to streamline the movement of products to the sales area
• Ensures that team members carry out duties and assignments in alignment with the store's agenda, adjusting priorities when necessary
• Supervises the team's productivity and provides coaching as needed
• Rearranges and cycles through stored inventory to simplify restocking processes
• Adheres to and supports the merchandising principles and visual display guidelines
• Ensures that the backroom area upholds all organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards
• Guarantees adherence to recycling guidelines and, if relevant, protocols for handling hazardous waste
• Effectively communicates with both management and colleagues when prioritizing tasks and addressing them, while also ensuring progress updates are provided
• Offers acknowledgment and is open to receiving constructive criticism
• Collaborating with management to address training requirements for associates in order to enhance their performance
• Ensures compliance with all regulations governing labor, policies, and protocols
• Encourages the use of credit and rewards initiatives
• Endorses and engages in initiatives aimed at decreasing store shrinkage objectives and schemes
• Encourages a culture of safety consciousness and upholds a secure setting

Qualification of Retail Merchandising Associate:

• Capable of accommodating a variable timetable, which may involve evenings and weekends
• Superb communication and organizational abilities with a focus on precision
• Capable of multi-tasking
• Capable of reacting effectively to shifts in course or unforeseen circumstances
• Being a team player means collaborating efficiently with colleagues and managers
• Able to lift heavy items with or without necessary assistance
• Skilled in teaching and instructing individuals
• year of involvement in the retail industry along with 6 months of experience in a managerial role
