Responsibilities of Plant Maintenance Technician:

Your proficiency and dedication to excellence are crucial in maintaining the prime condition of Verizon's external plant facilities, ensuring they function at their highest capacity and preparedness.

• Managing the placement, repositioning, and deletion of external network infrastructure, including overhead, below-ground, underwater, buried, and building-based cables, as well as support structures and equipment.
• Linking wires and cables to ports and fastening or detaching a range of devices to wires, cables, edifices, or columns.
• Comprehension and deciphering of engineering service requests.
• Executing building activities through the utilization of prescribed tools like digging openings and positioning poles.
• Operating company trucks with varying gross masses for equipment transportation.
• Scaling ladders and vertical posts, engaging in elevated duties, recognizing discrepancies in wire and cable shades, and carrying/moving items that are generally under 100 pounds in weight.
• Ensuring flexibility in scheduling to accommodate evening, weekend, holiday, and spontaneous shifts based on business demands.

Qualification of Plant Maintenance Technician:

You know outside plant and construction and are anxious to put your knowledge and skills to work on Americas fastest and most reliable network. You like to be busy and well-organized to stay on top of things. You know that the whole team needs to work together to win and you take pride in a job well done.

• Valid state drivers license with a satisfactory driving record.
• CDL or the ability to obtain one.
• A related Associate Degree or 2 or more years of relevant work experience.
