Material Mover

Purpose: Handle powered industrial trucks (PIT) such as forklifts and stand-up order pickers with care to smoothly transport products within the distribution center. Ensure precise handling of incoming and outgoing orders during processing.

Responsibilities of Material Mover:

• Operate powered equipment proficiently as instructed to pick and store products accurately, following the supervisor's assigned tasks
• Utilize advanced warehouse management systems (WMS) and RF scanners to expedite the processing of all barcoded inventory items
• Acknowledge and communicate any variances to the leadership group
• Keep in line with the recommended standard operational procedures (SOPs)
• Record production details for each task correctly and finalize all necessary paperwork
• Readiness to work beyond regular hours if the situation arises
• Flexibility in acquiring skills and executing tasks across a range of disciplines
• Uphold a safe working environment and cleanliness standards
• Extra tasks as instructed

Know-how, Proficiency, and Competency:

• Securing an adidas certification allows individuals to proficiently and safely handle a selection of powered equipment, such as order pickers, turret trucks, reach trucks, powered pallet jacks, and sit-down forklifts
• Basic math skills
• Good communication skills
• The requirement includes being skilled in speaking, reading, writing, and understanding the English language

Essential Functions of Material Mover:

Frequently needed to verbally communicate or actively listen; maintain a seated, standing, or walking position; use fingers, hands, arms, and feet for tactile sensation, manipulation, gripping, seizing, lifting, controlling, pushing, and pulling for up to twelve hours in a day

• Competent in carrying out work safely at elevated positions, upwards of forty (40) feet
• experienced in working effectively in a warehouse with varying temperature conditions
• Having the capacity to reliably show up for work at the specified hours
• The safe and proper operation of power industrial equipment is a critical mandate
• occasionally required to sit; bending, twisting, climb or balance; lift and carry items such as boxes weighing up to fifty (50) pounds; and stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl

Qualifications of Material Mover:

• High School diploma or Equivalent
• Minimum of six (6) months previous experience operating forklifts
• Required to speak, read, write and comprehend the English language
