Job Description of Store Merchandise Associate:

A Store Merchandise Associate plays a key role in ensuring that merchandise is well-presented and accessible in a retail setting. Their primary duties include ensuring customer satisfaction by actively engaging with customers, following customer service principles, and keeping the store tidy. They must also adhere to operational, merchandise, and theft prevention guidelines while potentially being trained to work in various store sections to meet business demands.

• Established customer experience practices serve as role models for interactions with both internal and external clients
• Fosters a favorable store environment by upholding principles of truthfulness, sincerity, and regard
• Rings up customer transactions with precision and ensures adherence to established procedures for purchases and returns
• Encourages the use of credit and reward initiatives
• Upholds the merchandising philosophy and adheres to established procedures and standards
• Effectively organizes and readies products for display on the sales floor in accordance with company guidelines and protocols
• Engages in store restoration as required during the day
• Adheres to the cleanliness, organization, and restocking guidelines for the sales area while also contributing to upholding the overall store's tidiness
• Offers and acknowledges validation and helpful input
• Complies with all regulations, rules, and protocols related to labor standards
• Assists in achieving and engaging with initiatives aimed at minimizing store losses through shrink reduction
• Engages in promoting safety awareness and upholds a secure setting
• Additional tasks as required

Qualification of Store Merchandise Associate:

• Possesses excellent customer service skills
• Able to work a flexible schedule to support business needs
• Possesses strong communication and organizational skills with attention to detail
• Capable of multi-tasking
• Able to respond appropriately to changes in direction or unexpected situations
• Capable of lifting heavy objects with or without reasonable accommodation
• Works effectively with peers and supervisors
• Retail customer experience preferred
