Job Overview
The Manager of Business Operations supports the organization by providing strategic planning support, organizing, directing, and assisting in the implementation of work efforts that drive the goals and objectives of leadership. Leading, directing, and coaching a team of Program Managers who drive strategic programs and performance improvements. This role supervises a team of Program Managers and works closely with cross-functional business stakeholders to drive operational efficiencies and execution of successful program plans.
Through program support, including data collection, analysis, organizational change, communications, and presentation to upper management. This role requires an expert, self-starter who delivers outstanding customer service to the business, works with all levels of the organization, and is capable of coordinating, motivating, and managing a team to meet critical, demanding timelines and strategic objectives. Must be able to see opportunities and influence leaders to act to craft the strategic direction of the organization.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Directs and manages Program Managers to maintain continuous alignment of program scope with strategic business objectives, and ensure programs meet success criteria and schedules; Provides coaching and individual professional development to team.
  • Applies knowledge of the T-Mobile business and Project Management Institute (PMI) best practices in an objective manner towards successfully executing and continuously improving program and/or PMO cross-functional collaboration, communication, influence, issue resolution & negotiation, and team processes.
  • Contributes to and maintains program approach and high level roadmap, and updates as needed to match business priorities, constraints and dependencies.
  • Ensures timely communication and escalates program issues, risks, constraints, and dependencies to management and the program stakeholders; Drives resolution and mitigations with team.
  • Serves as a consulting and subject matter expert on department-wide assignments by adding value and
  • identifying gaps to drive a better outcome through knowledge and experiences.
  • Directs data analysis strategy to analyze multifaceted data from various sources and uses its interpretation to drive operational excellence.
  • Works cross-functionally across the organization to drive innovation and automation within the businessto realize operational effeciences through Power Apps, AI, and other technologies.
Education and Work Experience:
  • 4-7 years Experience in Organizational Programs, Project Management or Related Area Required
  • Less than 2 years Supervisory or Program Leadership Experience Required
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Portfolio, Program and/or Project Management (Required)
  • Working understanding of PMI principles and practices (Required)
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with demonstrated ability to work with all levels of the organization (including sr. leadership) (Required)
  • Ability to complete work assignments while meeting deadlines and productivity standards with minimal supervision (Required)
  • Solid organizational and problem-solving skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills (Required)
  • Ability to employ a strong ethical perspective in all areas of the business practice (Required)
  • Positive thinker and a team player with ability to collaborate and drive enthusiasm (Required)
  • Works well with direct communication and management style (Required)
  • Experience with project tracking and technical development software including but not limited to Asana, Jira, Aha (Preferred)
Licenses and Certifications:
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) (Preferred)
  • Program Management Professional (PgMP) (Preferred)
  • At least 18 years of age

Base Pay Range: $102,100 - $184,200

Corporate Bonus Target: 15%

The pay range above is the general base pay range for a successful candidate in the role. The successful candidate's actual pay will be based on various factors, such as work location, qualifications, and experience, so the actual starting pay will vary within this range.

At T-Mobile, employees in regular, non-temporary roles are eligible for an annual bonus or periodic sales incentive or bonus, based on their role. Most Corporate employees are eligible for a year-end bonus based on company and/or individual performance and which is set at a percentage of the employee's eligible earnings in the prior year. Certain positions in Customer Care are eligible for monthly bonuses based on individual and/or team performance.
