Job Summary of In-Store Sales Associate:
The In-Store Sales Associate is accountable for supporting Management in promoting a customer-oriented sales culture that places an emphasis on products and customer relations, integrating the core values and guiding principles of the company into all store activities. This involves ensuring excellent customer satisfaction and striving for optimal financial results. Responsibilities of In-Store Sales Associate:
- Reaches company sales goals through the use of sales strategies and conveying product information to customers; suggests suitable merchandise options or assists in sourcing products based on customer needs.
- Stays informed about prevailing sales and promotions, and ensures that pricing and visual standards are consistently met.
- Ensures compliance with the rules for handling goods, presenting products, preventing theft, and all other duties as directed by management.
- Participates in visual directives including monthly store sets and zone maintenance.
- Upholds and advances the principles and standards of the Most Amazing Personal Service (MAPS), facilitating a cohesive omni-channel experience.
- Promises timely resolution of customer grievances and inquiries.
- Maintains familiarity with current procedures regarding payments, coupon acceptance, returns, exchanges, security practices, and other relevant operations to facilitate a fast and efficient register process.
- Fortifies purchase determinations at the final transaction stage and meets add-on targets, including facilitating gift card purchases.
- Enlists individuals in a rewards program to receive advantages.
- Fostering a committed clientele through clienteling methods and bespoke wardrobe consultations.
- Understands the current product fit and style assortment available for purchase, both in-store and online.
- Preserves steady client engagement by managing interactions through a customer log system.
- Supports initiatives aimed at keeping the store adequately replenished.
- Assists in seeking fulfillment.
- Assists in executing visual directives, including tasks such as setting up floor displays, changing window arrangements, creating visual presentations, and placing signage according to instructions.
- Assist with the cleanliness and organization of a boutique establishment
- Supports a collaborative, team-based strategy in finding solutions.
- Demonstrates a willingness to grow personally and openly solicits feedback.
Qualification of In-Store Sales Associate:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Retail or sales experience preferred
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Able to learn or adapt to technology provided by the company
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Able to communicate with customers, Associates, and Management
- Regular attendance is essential to this position to ensure adequate coverage to meet company objectives. Ability to work a flexible work schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays is required
Physical Requirements of In-Store Sales Associate:
- A considerable amount of time, ranging from two-thirds to the entire 8-hour shift, is devoted to walking or standing activities
- From time to time, workers may be required to lift items weighing up to 50 pounds, constituting around 1% to 33% of their 8-hour shift
- A significant portion, estimated between 34% and 66%, of an 8-hour shift involves engaging in climbing activities
