Job Description of Merchandising Assistant:

Responsible for delivering a highly satisfied customer experience proven by engaging and interacting with all customers, embodying customer experience principles and philosophy, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment. Adheres to all operational, merchandise, and loss prevention standards. May be cross-trained to work in multiple areas of the store in order to support the needs of the business.

• Pioneers have demonstrated successful customer experience approaches with both inside and outside stakeholders
• Cultivates a beneficial store ambiance by embracing and practicing truthfulness, trustworthiness, and politeness
• Executes customer transactions in compliance with established operating procedures, including accurately totaling purchases, managing returns, and providing accurate change to clientele
• Boosts engagement with credit and loyalty programs
• Supports and advances the merchandising ethos by following the designated standard operating procedures
• Thoroughly manages the handling and preparation of merchandise for showcasing in line with company policies and expectations
• Participates in and assists with store rehabilitation as needed during the day
• Follows and enforces the organization, cleanliness, and recovery guidelines for the sales floor and actively engages in upkeeping the store's cleanliness
• Offers and accepts appreciation and constructive comments
• Follows all labor laws, policies, and procedures diligently and accurately
• Plays a role in supporting programs geared towards reducing store shrinkage
• Is actively involved in advocating for safety awareness and preserving a safe space
• Assigned duties may extend beyond the typical workload

Qualification of Merchandising Assistant:

• Displays strong skills in providing top-notch customer support
• Can modify work hours to align with the dynamic business schedule
• Displays a talent for clear communication and adept organization, with a keen eye for details
• Capable of multi-tasking
• Proficient in responding effectively to modifications in direction or unexpected occurrences
• Proficient at hoisting heavy materials with or without required modifications
• Displays a high level of competence in interacting with both peers and superiors
• Retail customer experience is the preferred choice of consumers
