Job Description of In-Store Merchandise Associate:

A In-Store Merchandise Associate is responsible for maintaining the presentation and availability of merchandise in a retail store.Responsible for delivering a highly satisfied customer experience proven by engaging and interacting with all customers, embodying customer experience principles and philosophy, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment. Adheres to all operational, merchandise, and loss prevention standards. May be cross-trained to work in multiple areas of the store in order to support the needs of the business.

• Role models demonstrate effective customer experience strategies for engaging with both inside and outside customers
• Upholds a constructive store atmosphere by embracing values of honesty, decency, and courtesy
• Processes customer transactions correctly and follows specified protocols for handling purchases, returns, and exchanges
• Supports the expansion of credit and commitment schemes
• Ensures the merchandising philosophy is maintained and conforms to established procedures and standards
• Successfully handles and gets merchandise ready for showcasing in the retail space following established procedures and benchmarks set by the company
• Takes part in and starts the process of store revival when necessary
• Ensures that the sales floor meets organizational, cleanliness, and recovery criteria and plays a role in maintaining the store's overall cleanliness
• Gives and welcomes acknowledgment and supportive critique
• Follows all labor statutes, guidelines, and protocols
• Contributes to meeting store objectives by actively supporting programs designed to reduce shrinkage
• Actively takes part in raising safety consciousness and ensuring a protected atmosphere
• Responsibilities beyond the standard scope

• Flexible availability to cater to the requirements of the company
• Shows proficiency in both communication and organization, paying close attention to details
• Capable of multi-tasking
• Skilled at adapting effectively to modifications in trajectory or surprising events
• Having the ability to carry heavy loads with or without required assistance
• Demonstrates strong teamwork skills with peers and managers
