Responsibilities of Construction Crew Operator:

Your expertise and dedication to excellence are vital in ensuring the maximum efficiency and preparedness of Verizon’s outside facilities.

• Handling the repositioning, installation, and dismantling of outdoor communication infrastructure elements, such as cables, supports, and related hardware.
• Bonding wires and cables to junctions and mounting or detaching diverse instruments to wires, cables, buildings, or uprights.
• Understanding and making sense of engineering job orders.
• Completing construction projects through the operation of designated tools like digging openings and setting up poles.
• Operating motor vehicles owned by the company to move various equipment types.
• Climbing ladders and poles, performing tasks at heights, identifying variances in wire and cable colors, and relocating/lifting items that generally weigh less than 100 pounds.
• Accommodating the business's operational requirements by working evenings, weekends, holidays, and irregular shifts.

• Having a valid state driver’s license along with a positive driving record is necessary.
• Holding a Commercial Driver's License or fulfilling the prerequisites for obtaining it.
• Minimum requirements for this role include having an Associate Degree in a related area or a minimum of two years of pertinent work experience.
