Objective:Effectively maneuver assigned powered industrial trucks (PIT) such as forklifts and stand-up order pickers within the distribution center to transfer goods securely. Maintain precision in handling orders being moved in and out of the facility.
Responsibilities of Equipment Operator:
- Efficiently manage the picking and storing of items according to supervisor instructions, utilizing powered equipment for optimal accuracy
- Employ computerized warehouse management systems (WMS) along with RF scanners to manage the processing of barcoded goods effectively
- Identify and share any disparities with the leadership team
- Abide by the prescribed standard operating procedures (SOPs) at all times
- Ensure precise recording of production output according to the task and complete all relevant paperwork
- Willingness to work overtime as the job demands
- Adaptability to learn and operate in diverse areas of expertise
- Prioritize safety measures and cleanliness within the work setting

Understanding, Expertise, and Capabilities:
- Individuals must acquire an adidas certification to safely and competently manage different types of powered equipment, which can include order pickers, turret trucks, reach trucks, powered pallet jacks, and sit-down forklifts
- Basic math skills
- Good communication skills
- Ability to communicate, interpret, and comprehend English both orally and in written form
Essential Functions of Equipment Operator:
Consistently required to converse or listen; be stationary, erect, or in motion; utilize fingers, hands, arms, and feet for tactile perception, handling, grasping, clutching, lifting, managing, propelling, and drawing for up to twelve hours daily
- Proficient in performing duties safely at heights reaching forty (40) feet and beyond
- skilled in performing duties in a warehouse environment that experiences temperature changes
- Adequately meeting the requirement of attending work at the designated hours
- Adequate training is required to ensure the safe handling of power industrial equipment
- occasionally required to sit; bending, twisting, climb or balance; lift and carry items such as boxes weighing up to fifty (50) pounds; and stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl
Qualifications of Equipment Operator:
- Obtaining a high school diploma or an equivalent qualification demonstrates competence in core academic subjects
- Candidates need to demonstrate a minimum of six months of past forklift driving experience
- Compelled to have the ability to converse, peruse, compose, and perceive the English language
