Job Description of Retail Store Custodian:

Tasked with upholding a tidy and well-arranged store setting, particularly concentrating on floor maintenance. Duties encompass using floor cleaning equipment, such as scrubbers and buffers, alongside tasks like dry and wet mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, and cleaning windows and glass surfaces. Complies with all operational protocols, merchandising guidelines, and loss prevention measures. Skilled in various store departments to provide versatile assistance as required.

• Role models have implemented established strategies for enhancing customer interactions with both internal and external clients
• Promotes and exemplifies a favorable retail atmosphere by upholding honesty, integrity, and respect
• Adheres to all floor cleaning protocols, which involve overseeing the upkeep and utilization of the scrubber and buffer equipment
• Ensures adherence to cleanliness and organizational guidelines throughout the entire store, including the Sales Floor, Single Queue, Associate Lounge, Backroom, and Restrooms
• Follows all company protocols regarding Health and Safety, which involve replenishing necessary supplies in the Lounge, Restrooms, and Front End
• Skilled in multiple sections of the store, such as the backroom, front end, and sales floor, due to cross-training opportunities
• Provides assistance and addresses all requirements for Front End coverage
• Demonstrates commitment to merchandising principles and signage guidelines
• Engages in and contributes to store restoration as necessary during the day
• Complies with all operational and loss prevention measures as outlined by the company's guidelines and policies, including minimizing shrinkage
• Maintains clear and efficient communication channels with supervisors and team members
• Follows all regulations and guidelines related to labor laws, regulations, and protocols, which encompass Associate meal and break period rules
• Promoting safety consciousness leads to the preservation of a secure setting
• Additional tasks as required

Qualification of Retail Store Custodian:

• Superb skills in dealing with customers effectively
• Capable of adjusting availability to meet the demands of the job
• Exceptional ability to manage tasks efficiently while maintaining a keen focus on accuracy and precision
• Robust physical endurance is required to engage in cleaning duties and operate floor buffing and scrubbing equipment
• Capable of multi-tasking
• Capable of reacting suitably to shifts in course or unforeseen circumstances
• Effective communication abilities encompass both verbal and written forms, with a capacity to listen actively and provide suitable responses
• Able to lift substantial loads with or without necessary adjustments
• Being an outstanding team member involves collaborating efficiently with colleagues and managers
• Consumers are inclined towards a positive retail customer journey
