Forklift Driver

Objective: Skillfully handle designated powered industrial trucks (PIT) like forklifts and stand-up order pickers while efficiently transporting goods within the distribution center. Precisely manage the flow of orders entering and leaving the facility.

Responsibilities of Forklift Driver:

• Follow the directions of the supervisor to efficiently and accurately handle product using powered equipment during the picking and storing process
• Utilize automated warehouse management systems (WMS) and RF scanners for the efficient processing of all barcoded items
• Recognize and relay any deviations to the management group
• Adhere to all established standard operating protocols (SOPs)
• Precisely document task-specific production and finalize all required documentation
• Flexibility to work additional hours when required
• The ability to receive training and perform tasks across various domains
• Ensuring safety protocols are followed and upholding cleanliness standards in the workplace are essential
• Additional responsibilities as delegated

Competencies, talents, and proficiencies:

• Ability to attain an adidas certification to safely operate any assigned powered equipment, including but not limited to: order picker, turret truck, reach truck, powered pallet jack and sit-down forklift
• Basic math skills
• Good communication skills
• Required to speak, read, write and comprehend the English language

Essential Functions of Forklift Driver:

Regularly needed to communicate verbally or listen, as well as to sit, stand, or move around; utilize fingers, hands, arms, and feet to sense, touch, hold, seize, hoist, control, propel, and tug for a maximum of twelve hours per day

• Capable of working securely at elevated levels, exceeding forty (40) feet
• capable of operating in a warehouse setting with fluctuating temperatures
• Capable of consistently showing up for work during designated hours
• It is necessary to possess the essential skills for the safe operation of power industrial equipment as specified
• Periodically, there may be a need to be seated; engage in bending, twisting, climbing, or balancing activities; as well as to lift and transport objects like boxes that weigh up to fifty (50) pounds. Additionally, there could be instances where stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling are necessary

Qualifications of Forklift Driver:

• Achieving a high school diploma or its equivalent is a significant educational milestone
• Must have at least half a year of prior forklift operation background
• Obligated to communicate, interpret, inscribe, and understand the English language
