Pallet Jack Operator

Purpose:Skillfully navigate powered industrial trucks (PIT) such as forklifts and stand-up order pickers to transport goods within the distribution center while upholding safety measures.Accurately manage the movement of orders entering and exiting the facility.

Responsibilities of Pallet Jack Operator:

• Tasked by the supervisor, employ powered equipment to efficiently and accurately pick and put away products as per instructions
• Employ the use of automated warehouse management systems like WMS and RF scanners to manage the processing of barcoded merchandise smoothly
• Acknowledge and transmit any deviations to the management team
• Carry out all routine operational procedures (ROPs) according to guidelines
• Record production data by task precisely and fulfill any necessary paperwork
• Ability to extend work hours as necessary
• Adaptability to be educated and engaged in various realms of work
• Create a safe and hygienic work atmosphere by following regulations
• Other responsibilities as allocated

• Individuals must successfully complete an adidas certification program to ensure they can safely operate assigned powered equipment like order pickers, turret trucks, reach trucks, powered pallet jacks, and sit-down forklifts
• Basic math skills
• Good communication skills
• Necessary to demonstrate proficiency in speaking, reading, writing, and understanding English

Essential Functions of Pallet Jack Operator:

Frequently needed to verbally communicate or listen attentively; maintain a seated, standing, or mobile posture; use fingers, hands, arms, and feet for tactile exploration, manipulation, gripping, seizing, lifting, operating, pushing, and pulling throughout a twelve-hour period

• Have the capability to perform tasks securely at levels surpassing forty (40) feet
• possesses the capability to perform well in a warehouse with changing temperatures
• Demonstrating the dependability to be present for work during the designated hours
• The ability to operate power industrial machinery safely is compulsory
• occasionally required to sit; bending, twisting, climb or balance; lift and carry items such as boxes weighing up to fifty (50) pounds; and stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl

Qualifications of Pallet Jack Operator:

• Securing a high school diploma or its comparable credential demonstrates readiness for further academic or professional pursuits
• Six months of prior experience in operating forklifts is mandatory
• Mandatory to have aptitude in verbal communication, reading, writing, and understanding the English language
