Job Summary of Store Operational Manager:

A Store Operational Manager's primary duty is to supervise the daily functions of a retail establishment, guaranteeing top notch customer service, optimizing revenue, and guiding a team towards accomplishing organizational objectives. This position entails supervising employees, merchandise, financial results, and operational effectiveness.

Qualifications for Store Operational Manager:

  • High School diploma or GED preferred.
  • Experience in retail sales preferred.
  • Experience to perform the essential duties, responsibilities and working in the conditions described below.
  • Ability to supervise and train for the use of equipment, tools and materials listed in the Customer Service Representative (CSR) and Assistant Site Manager (ASM) job description.
  • Ability to supervise and manage the functions listed in the CSR and ASM job description.
  • Ability to use computer, or acquire those skills necessary to use a computer at the site, which includes analysis of reports, inventory control, cash control, counseling notices, etc.
  • A valid driver's license and adequate transportation to/from bank and corporate management meetings.
  • Ability to communicate (orally and in writing) in English. Perform other duties as assigned or delegated by his/her supervisor.

Responsibilities for Store Operational Manager:

  • Attract, onboard, and educate motivated and upbeat staff members to guarantee top-notch customer satisfaction.
  • Effectively oversee, organize, and delegate tasks to maintain the cleanliness, sufficient inventory, and orderly appearance of the premises in accordance with company guidelines.
  • Coordinate staff assignments following Company protocols to enhance customer satisfaction and uphold the professional image of the site.
  • Cultivate favorable and professional connections with all vendors to enhance business partnerships.
  • Encourage and maintain a secure and favorable reputation among the local population.
  • Develop continuous and prompt written performance assessments for all staff members as part of training and development processes, delivering appropriate feedback based on their performance.
  • Provide comprehensive training to all staff members to ensure that they align with Company standards on customer service, site presentation, and marketing implementation.
  • Ensure that all staff members receive comprehensive training regarding safety protocols and actively encourage a culture of safety consciousness within the organization
  • Find strategies to guarantee that all staff members are promptly and adequately informed. Initiate regular and continuous communication gatherings involving site employees and the Market Manager.
  • Evaluate and create detailed action plans to meet the site's requirements and achieve the intended goals. Maintain and organize all site documents and handbooks.
  • Oversee and direct store staff to guarantee timely and accurate completion of necessary reports as requested.
  • Oversee and direct store staff members to guarantee that all products are appropriately stocked, displayed attractively, and priced accurately.
  • Make sure that all necessary work-related notices and signs are placed in a location that can be easily reached by all staff members.
  • Analyze the financial data related to daily sales and expenses and make necessary decisions to enhance sales and overall profits. Develop budgets and predictions for profit and loss components while also grasping and overseeing the margins of merchandise.
  • Ensure the protection and proper tracking of all funds received and spent. Conduct any additional financial evaluations required to enhance revenue and overall profits.

Working Conditions for Store Operational Manager:

  • Most of the tasks are conducted indoors; however, occasional outdoor duties such as cleaning parking lots, gas pumps, and disposing of garbage may be necessary.
  • Supervising or managing store employees as they work in a walk in cooler and/or freezer may involve occasional exposure to extreme cold temperatures.
  • Have occasional exposure to noise while working autonomously with minimal supervision.
  • Always perform proficiently in the roles of manager, supervisor, and leader.
