The role of a Cash Handling Associate involves handling customer transactions promptly and accurately, accepting payments, and maintaining a friendly and helpful attitude towards customers within a retail establishment. They are expected to actively engage with customers, follow customer service principles, and ensure the store is kept tidy and well-maintained. Adhering to operational procedures, handling products correctly, and preventing losses are essential aspects of the job. Some Cash Handling Associate are trained across different store departments for flexible support.

• Role models have established best practices for enhancing customer satisfaction among both internal and external clientele
• Encourages a positive store climate through the practice of honesty, integrity, and respectfulness
• Adheres to standard operating procedures while processing customer transactions, ensuring accurate recording of purchases and returns and correct change back to the customer
• Advances the cause of credit and loyalty schemes
• Ensures the maintenance of the merchandising philosophy and compliance with established procedures and standards
• Proficiently carries out the handling and presentation of goods for retail, ensuring compliance with company policies and benchmarks
• Involves themselves in store recovery activities as needed throughout the day
• Keeps the sales floor in adherence with organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards while also engaging in the cleanliness and upkeep of the whole store
• Supplies and receives recognition and valuable feedback
• Adheres strictly to all labor laws, policies, and operating procedures
• Endorses and is involved in store shrink reduction aims and schemes
• Involves in promoting safety awareness and upholds a safe surrounding
• Additional tasks as determined by management
