Job Description of Inventory Control Coordinator:

Tasks involve implementing receiving and merchandising standards, supervising Associates to ensure smooth and effective operations, and promoting teamwork. Focuses on providing customers with a positive shopping encounter by communicating with them and keeping the store tidy and well-arranged. Serves as a role model for outstanding customer service.
- Ensuring a positive interaction for both internal and external customers is key
- Cultivates a culture that prioritizes integrity and sincerity, respects the confidentiality of proprietary information
- Oversees the truck delivery process, focusing on efficiently prioritizing the distribution of items onto the retail floor
- Mentors Associates in the practices and principles of merchandising and processing that have been set
- Checks to ensure that products are properly marked, displayed, and labeled with the necessary codes
- Maintains contact with the Coordinator on Duty to optimize the transportation of goods to the sales floor
- Makes sure that employees complete tasks and undertakings following the store's blueprint, reprioritizing when deemed necessary
- Monitors the performance of the team and provides necessary mentorship
- Arranges and switches around backstock items to streamline replenishment tasks
- Upholds the standards of merchandising philosophy and the display of signage
- Sustains the backroom area's organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards at all times
- Ensures that recycling requirements are met and, if necessary, hazardous waste protocols are followed
- Maintains open and transparent communication with management and coworkers regarding priority setting and progress tracking, ensuring all stakeholders are informed
- Acknowledges and appreciates feedback while also being open to helpful suggestions
- Teaming up with management to assess and cater to the training needs of associates to boost their effectiveness
- Ensures that all labor laws, policies, and procedures are followed diligently
- Supports the promotion of credit and incentive programs
- Supports and actively involves in efforts to minimize store shrinkage targets and initiatives
- Fosters a sense of vigilance towards safety and preserves a secure environment

Qualification of Inventory Control Coordinator:
- Skilled in adapting to a flexible work schedule, including weekends and evenings
- Outstanding communication and organizational skills with a strong emphasis on attention to detail
- Capable of multi-tasking
- Competent in adjusting reactions to changes in course or unexpected events
- Team players excel at collaborating with both coworkers and supervisors to achieve common goals
- Able to transport weighty items with or without appropriate support
- Possessing the ability to educate and mentor others
- One year of retail practice coupled with six months of leadership responsibility
