Job Summary of Retail Store Leader:

A Retail Store Leader is a leadership development role designed to prepare individuals for a managerial position. This role involves hands-on training in various aspects of business operations, customer service, team leadership, and financial management.

Qualifications for Retail Store Leader:

  • High School diploma or GED preferred.
  • Experience in retail sales preferred.
  • Experience to perform the essential duties, responsibilities and working in the conditions described below.
  • Ability to supervise and train for the use of equipment, tools and materials listed in the Customer Service Representative (CSR) and Assistant Site Manager (ASM) job description.
  • Ability to supervise and manage the functions listed in the CSR and ASM job description.
  • Ability to use computer, or acquire those skills necessary to use a computer at the site, which includes analysis of reports, inventory control, cash control, counseling notices, etc.
  • A valid driver's license and adequate transportation to/from bank and corporate management meetings.
  • Ability to communicate (orally and in writing) in English. Perform other duties as assigned or delegated by his/her supervisor.

Responsibilities for Retail Store Leader:

  • Implement leadership and management approaches to hire, onboard, and instruct optimistic team members focused on delivering excellent customer service.
  • Supervise and coordinate task assignments to ensure the facility is kept clean, well-supplied, and orderly, adhering to the Company's established benchmarks.
  • Plan employee schedules following Company standards to ensure excellent customer service and uphold the site's overall image.
  • Employ fair-minded management strategies when engaging in the processes of hiring, educating, guiding, inspiring, and parting ways with employees.
  • Cultivate favorable and professional connections with suppliers to enhance business partnerships. Uphold superior service standards and address customer grievances promptly and in a respectful manner.
  • Foster and maintain a constructive and protected reputation in the surrounding community.
  • Conduct regular and timely written evaluations for all employees, offering constructive feedback based on their performance.
  • Deliver training to employees to ensure compliance with the Company's benchmarks for customer service, site aesthetics, and marketing implementation.
  • Create strategies to guarantee that all employees are communicated with promptly and effectively.
  • Assess and cultivate distinct action plans to tackle site requirements and achieve specified targets. Maintain and organize all site records and instructional materials effectively.
  • Manage and supervise store employees to ensure that all required and requested reports due are completed accurately and timely. Manage and supervise store employees to ensure that all merchandise is stocked, attractively displayed and priced correctly.
  • Having all mandatory job related posters and signs easily accessible to all employees is crucial.
  • Scrutinize daily sales and expense information to devise effective strategies for maximizing sales and net profits.
  • Create forecasts for revenue and expenses within specific financial parameters, as well as analyze and optimize merchandise profit margins.
  • Maintain the integrity and transparency of all money received and spent. Perform any financial assessments required to increase sales and net profits.

Working Conditions for Retail Store Leader:

  • The job mainly involves indoor activities, however, there will be instances where outdoor work such as cleaning parking lots and gas pumps will be necessary.
  • Be exposed to occasional cold temperature extremes while supervising or managing store employees performing occasional work in a walk-in cooler and/or freezer.
  • Experience intermittent exposure to noise levels.
  • Be consistently effective in your capacity as a manager, supervisor, and leader.
