Job Description of Retail Maintenance Staff:

Tasked with ensuring the cleanliness and organization of the store environment, particularly concentrating on floor maintenance. Responsibilities include operating cleaning equipment like scrubbers and buffers, as well as performing duties such as dust mopping, damp mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, and cleaning glass and windows. Adhering to operational, merchandise, and loss prevention standards, and being proficient in various store areas to provide flexible support.

• Leaders have showcased best practices in customer engagement for both internal and external stakeholders
• Upholds and embodies a positive store climate through honesty, integrity, and respect
• Follows specified procedures for maintaining cleanliness on floors, including managing the operation and upkeep of scrubber and buffer appliances
• Ensures that all sections of the store, such as Sales Floor, Single Queue, Associate Lounge, Backroom, and Restrooms, meet the required organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards
• Consistently abides by company policies regarding Health and Safety, which encompasses the replenishment of critical supplies in the Lounge, Restrooms, and Front End
• Proficient in various areas of the store, such as the backroom, front end, and sales floor, after undergoing cross-training programs
• Assists with and fulfills all Front End coverage requirements
• Upholds the standards of merchandising philosophy and signage requirements
• Commences and engages in store recovery as necessary during the day
• Ensures adherence to operational and loss prevention guidelines set by the company, with a specific emphasis on shrink reduction
• Demonstrates adept communication skills in interactions with management and staff
• Complies with all labor laws, regulations, and procedures, including those pertaining to Associate meal and break period guidelines
• Being involved in safety awareness endeavors is vital for maintaining a secure environment
• Extra chores when requested

Qualification of Retail Maintenance Staff:

• Excellent customer service skills
• Able to work a flexible schedule to support business needs
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
• Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks and run floor buffer and scrubber
• Capable of multi-tasking
• Able to respond appropriately to changes in direction or unexpected situations
• Strong communication skills: verbal and written. Listens and responds appropriately
• Capable of lifting heavy objects with or without reasonable accommodation
• Standout colleague, working effectively with peers and supervisors
• Retail customer experience preferred
