Job Summary of Assistant Retail Store manager:

Supporting the store manager in fostering a customer-and product-focused sales culture where our values and guiding principles are central to all aspects of store operations, including managing sales operations, asset protection, and human resources functions to guarantee excellent customer service and optimal profitability, is the responsibility of the Assistant Retail Store manager. Responsibilities of Assistant Retail Store manager:

  • Analyzes sales reports and KPIs to determine the needs of the business; Teams up with the Store Manager to carry out in-store business and sales strategies.
  • Communicates and enforces clear expectations, ensuring both the store team and themselves are accountable for achieving brand, performance, and behavior standards.
  • Maintains oversight of the budgetary constraints relating to both payroll and supply budgets.
  • Performs and oversees basic operational activities such as scheduling, target shrink audits, physical inventory, opening and closing duties, time sheet review and payroll accuracy documents, and merchandise flow processes.
  • Performs financial activities efficiently and in accordance with regulations, such as handling cash, implementing price changes, and managing merchandise; ensures all register transactions are accurately processed and in compliance with policies.
  • Ensures observance of all pertinent laws, measures for preventing losses, operational protocols, and controls; organizes training sessions for associates to reinforce proper controls.
  • Manages all operational processes, such as inventory receipt and dispatch, daily replenishment of merchandise levels on the floor, and preparation and implementation of physical inventory checks.
  • Ensures that the Brand's appearance, structure, and upkeep are a true reflection of its identity.
  • Encourages a culture of peak performance, driving the sales team to successfully achieve their set sales and efficiency objectives.
  • Enhancing the selling team's fluency in product details can significantly impact sales performance and customer satisfaction.
  • Provides assistance in finding fulfillment and increasing sales effectiveness through personalized support.
  • Encourages and inspires the store team through the creation of a shared vision and the demonstration of core values.
  • Advocates for an encompassing and cooperative problem-solving methodology.
  • Interacts with store employees and the Store Manager to encourage constructive transformations.
  • Eagerly seeks out chances for personal growth and openly requests feedback to improve leadership abilities.
  • Displays, imparts, and advocates for the Most Superior Customer Care (MSCC) principles and benchmarks, fostering a cohesive multi-channel customer service environment.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of various sales methods to model sales expectations and relay product information to customers. Provides guidance on selecting merchandise or supports in finding and obtaining products in accordance with customer needs and preferences.
  • Guarantees prompt handling of customer feedback.
  • Ensures a swift and proficient register experience by staying updated on payment regulations, coupon acceptance policies, return procedures, security practices, and other applicable operational guidelines.
  • Guarantees ongoing client communication within the team through the utilization of the customer list, active involvement in loyalty programs, and incentivizing customer sign-up.
  • Offers help in recruiting, acquiring talent, and fostering a high-performing workforce.
  • Supports, implements, and provides ongoing assistance for all educational training sessions, seminars, etc.
  • Counsels and mentors the store team in enhancing their performance levels.
  • Collaborates with the senior management to address human resources concerns efficiently.
  • Drives engagement and motivation within the team by recognizing and rewarding employees for their exceptional efforts.
  • Oversees that the store team maintains compliance with all employment practices and policies.

Qualification of Assistant Retail Store manager:

  • Having a high school diploma or an equivalent is a fundamental prerequisite
  • Candidates with a proven track record of at least two years in retail management are preferred
  • The age restriction for this activity stipulates that participants must be at least 18 years of age
  • Proficient in articulating thoughts and information verbally and in written form
  • Able to grasp and adapt to the technological tools provided by the organization
  • Shown to possess excellent customer service skills with a proven statistical background in sales and leadership
  • Proficient in organizational abilities and adept at multitasking within a fast-paced setting
  • Emanating paramount leadership qualities, mastery in team building strategies, and adeptness in cultivating teamwork
  • Expertise in the administrative aspects of store operations
  • Experienced in engaging in dialogue with both clients and colleagues
  • Regular attendance is essential to this position to ensure adequate coverage to meet company objectives. Ability to work a flexible work schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays is required

Physical Requirement of Assistant Retail Store manager:

  • Constant Walking/Standing- 67-100% of 8-hour shift
  • Occasional Lifting up to 50 lbs.- 1-33% of 8-hour shift
  • Frequent Climbing- 34%-66% of 8-hour shift
