Job Description of Route Dispatcher:

Responsibilities of Route Dispatcher:

• Drive a vehicle carefully to transport items to customers in a timely manner.
• Perform the necessary tasks of loading, unloading, preparing, inspecting, and operating a delivery vehicle accurately.
• Adhere to specified paths and schedules as required.
• Ensure smooth interactions with dispatchers, clients, and supervisors through effective communication.
• Maintain the packages' secure delivery and accuracy in reaching the right recipients, while also delivering outstanding customer service to assist with any customer inquiries or concerns as required.
• Abide by the regulations set forth by the company, prioritize safety measures, and adhere to driving protocols.

Requirements of Route Dispatcher:

• A driver's license in good standing with no driving violations is needed.
• Ability to utilize GPS devices proficiently and navigate driving routes precisely.
• Should be able to manage packages weighing up to 50 pounds in terms of lifting and moving.
• Proficient time management and adept organizational prowess.
• Upholding an optimistic outlook and demonstrating strong communication capabilities.
• Being ready to work on weekends and holidays is essential during peak seasons in this role.
• Past experience in delivery is recommended, but it is not a must-have.
