Job Description of Retail Custodian:

Tasked with ensuring a neat and orderly store setting by giving attention to floor maintenance. Duties encompass using equipment like scrubbers and buffers, as well as actions such as dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, and spot cleaning windows. Follows guidelines related to store operations, product handling, and preventing loss. Proficiently trained to handle various store sections to aid in meeting business requirements.

• Role models have implemented effective customer service strategies that benefit both employees and clients
• Promotes a constructive store environment by upholding principles of truthfulness, trustworthiness, and courtesy
• Adheres to all cleanliness guidelines for floor care, which involves managing and using the scrubber and buffer equipment effectively
• Ensures that the entire store, including the sales floor, single queue, associate lounge, backroom, and restrooms, adheres to all organizational, cleanliness, and recovery guidelines
• Complies with all organizational guidelines related to Health and Safety, including replenishing necessary supplies in designated areas such as the Lounge, Bathrooms, and Front Desk
• Skilled in various departments within the store, such as backroom operations, front-end duties, and sales floor responsibilities
• Provides assistance and addresses all requirements related to Front End coverage
• Maintains and embraces the principles of retail philosophy and standards for signage
• Engages in store restoration as required during the course of the day
• Complies with operational and loss prevention protocols as outlined by the company, focusing on minimizing shrinkage
• Maintains clear and efficient communication with both managers and team members
• Complies with all regulations, guidelines, and protocols related to labor requirements, such as guidelines for employee meal and rest periods
• Engaging in safety awareness activities contributes to upholding a secure setting
• Additional responsibilities as required

Qualification of Retail Custodian:

• Outstanding abilities in dealing with customers effectively
• Capable of adjusting working hours as required to accommodate business requirements
• Exceptional ability to organize effectively with a keen focus on particulars
• Adequate physical endurance is necessary to complete cleaning duties and operate floor polishing and scrubbing equipment
• Capable of multi-tasking
• Capable of reacting adequately to shifts in course or unforeseen circumstances
• Proficient communication abilities in both spoken and written forms. Demonstrates active listening and offers suitable responses
• Capable of lifting heavy objects with or without reasonable accommodation
• Standout colleague, working effectively with peers and supervisors
• Retail customer experience preferred
